"Distress. Great distress. The water filled with naphta, filled with viscosity, an elastic film, but opaque not clear, that makes it difficult for us to breathe, that prevents us from living. We are only fish. We only have the sea in which to live. We can only breathe in clean water, in crystal sheets not filthy with mineral."

That's very powerful - the photo, the installation, the words.
Magnifique noir et blanc en couleurs ! J'aime cette image, premier plan agressif et calme de la plage à l'arrière.
Very important message, particularly in view of the news about the Danube.
This is indeed powerful, but it would add a bit of reality and depression to what might otherwise be an escape from reality with a pleasant seaside stroll.
So true and so scary. Great composition, as always.
This is a strong and clear statement! The fish are eloquent.
There's something "fishy" about that arsty installation ....
Very powerful indeed, JM! You've effectively made a very strong point that our world needs to pay attention to. Hope you have a great week!

Yes, powerful is the word that comes to mind.
This is so true and sad. Beautifully photographed.
A very powerful art piece! And, a wonderful reminder especially today.
A great message from the artist. The b/w appearance in the bottom part of the photo works so well with this scene.
A very powerful and strong statement, I only wish more people would recognise the problem. Great photo. Diane
There was a time when the artists went against the current, now they all like only popular causes and never cease to preach to the hoi polloi.
Nice idea though, I like the excellent composition of your picture.
I really like this one. Interesting sculpture and I like your words too.
Wow! Profound and prophetic. Something needs to be done soon. It appears, though, that the rich run the world, and will fight tooth and nail anything which might compromise the massive profits they derive from practices that despoil our planet!
This unique perspective is sure to raise awareness that fish need clean water to survive.
@Halcyon: Those are the artist's words, not mine! :-)
Congrats! I like it.
Well done.

We had better hope the fish don't all end up like this.
are the fishes made of wood ? Very interesting installation !
Excellent!!!!
Save the seas
Save the fish
Save the planet.

We sure are good at destroying our little planet.
Makes one think.

Very high-impact installations there. And very ironic about the storms. When are we ever going to learn? :(
Quite the statement. Another BIG problem needing a BIG solution. I like your perspective on this.
